Open requisition Training role This is an entry-level training requisition; candidates complete the cultivation onboarding track and are checked out by a Lead Cultivar Technician before working unsupervised.

Role Summary

The Cultivar Technician I is the entry rung of the cultivation track and the hands that keep the facility's benign and low-grade specimens healthy day to day. Working under the direction of a Lead Cultivar Technician, the Technician I carries out watering, dosing, and routine care of GCL-1 and GCL-2 specimens strictly per SOP, takes PhytoSense Mesh handset readings, records them in the cultivation log, and performs basic pest and pathogen scouting. The role is supervised throughout the onboarding period and is the primary pipeline into the cultivation workforce. It is a hands-on, in-bay training role with structured competency check-outs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform watering, irrigation checks, and SOP-specified dosing of GCL-1 and GCL-2 specimens under supervision.
  2. Take PhytoSense Mesh handset readings — turgor, sap-flow, and VOC — and record them accurately in the cultivation log.
  3. Conduct basic pest and pathogen scouting and report findings to the watch lead for triage.
  4. Maintain bay cleanliness, media stock, and vessel readiness; stage materials for the watch.
  5. Close out assigned CHLORA work orders with complete logs and flag anything off-SOP to the Lead.
  6. Progress through the cultivation onboarding curriculum and competency check-outs on the HR Training Matrix.
  7. Escalate any specimen showing stress, aggression cues, or containment-relevant behavior to the Lead immediately.
